Welcome to the Division of Facilities
Welcome to the Division of Facilities. The division is comprised of the Physical Plant Department, the Office of Facilities
Coordination, Aviation Services and the Office of the Vice President.
The Physical Plant is responsible for providing the maintenance, renovation, cleaning and utilities supply for the over 750
facilities and 2,000 acres of landscape that encompass the properties of Texas A&M University and the
Texas A&M University System in College Station. The Office of Facilities Coordination is the University’s
major source for facilities data, to include space and facility inventory, infrastructure and campus maps, as well as
land use management. Easterwood Airport serves not only the University but Bryan-College Station and the
surrounding counties by providing commercial and private air travel services.
The Vice President’s office functions in a support capacity for the departments and is the key liaison
to the system’s Facilities Planning and Construction office for all major new construction in excess
of $2 million and renovation projects in excess of $1 million. Currently, Texas A&M is in Phase II of a
Faculty Reinvestment program that will add over 400 faculty members. This program has naturally created the need for
more space for these new faculty members and their staffs, and this has become a priority function for the division.
This office also serves the University as a key liaison with the surrounding cities and county as well as other local
governmental entities.
