NEWS

The Pledge of Allegiance by Barbra Clack and Ranch by Roxie Munro both received the 2006 National Parenting Publication Award (NAPPA) for Children's Products and Parenting Resources. The NAPPA award tells parents that this product is a great choice for children and that independent experts have judged it to be innovative, age-appropriate, and of exceptional and lasting educational and entertainment value.

Joyce Gibson Roach, Horned Toad Canyon, was recently elected as 2007 President of the National Horned Lizard Conservation Society.


When First Lady Laura Bush made a campaign stop at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, Chancellor Rosemary De Paolo presented her with a gift copy of UNCW Professor David La Vere's recent book The Texas Indians, published by Texas A&M University Press earlier this year.
