About the Speaker

Dr. Yvonna S. Lincoln is a Professor in the Department of Educational Administration at Texas A&M University. She has been with the institution since 1991. Prior to that time, Dr. Lincoln held teaching positions at the University of Kansas and Vanderbilt University. She is recognized as a leader in the field of naturalistic inquiry and qualitative studies. Her publications include numerous books, articles, and reviews, and an extensive record of presentations. Dr. Lincoln's service record includes a variety of roles, among them: consultant, proposal reviewer, evaluator, program chair, and executive board member. Included in her many awards are Distinguished Research Fellow, College of Education, Texas A&M University 1992 and the Research Achievement Award of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) 1993. Dr. Lincoln received an A. B. in History from Michigan State University, a M. A. in History and East European History from the University of Illinois, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education with minors in Research and Evaluation and Organizational Theory and Behavior from Indiana University.
