Development Strategy Council
Purpose:
The Development Strategy Council will provide advice to the
President to the Executive Vice President of Texas A&M University in
the following areas.
- Coordination of major gift development strategies, policies,
and plans, including the review of major gift proposals by any fund
raising unit on campus
- Encouragement of development efforts by vice presidents,
deans, directors, department heads, and interested faculty and staff,
including establishment of appropriate expectations and benchmarks for
participants responsible for development activities
- Preparation for a future capital campaign by Texas A&M
University, including the assurance of effective stewardship for
current donors, implementation of new venues for gifts and development
activities, and pursuit of new donors and expanded development
activities beyond the State of Texas.
