Amber
Briggs Amber
Briggs is a sociology major from Copperas Cove, Texas. As a student
at Texas A&M University, Amber has become heavily involved in
student organizations. She is the 2008-2009 Chairperson for the
Regents' Scholars Orientation Planning Board, a member of the Leadership
Living and Learning Community (L3C), a member of the Visual Arts
Committee, and a leader in the Baptist Student Ministries. Amber
is also a student worker for the Texas A&M Department of Student
Financial Aid. |

Willis
Chambers Willis Chambers is a senior at Texas A&M, double-majoring in history and English with a minor in communication. A Houstonian, Willis is a member of the class of 2011, but plans to attend law school in the fall of 2010. Although fluent in Spanish, Willis' true passion is foreign relations, especially between the U.S. and East Asia. In the summer of 2008, Willis studied Chinese at Ocean University in Qingdao, China and worked for the city government. Willis has also studied Chinese at Texas A&M, placing first at the Texas College Students Chinese Speech Competition. He is a teacher’s assistant for the Texas A&M Confucius Institute's Community Chinese Class and is President of the China-US Relations Forum. Willis is also a member of Honors Student Council. This fall he is interning at the U.S. Department of Defense.

Jonathan
Connors Jonathan Connors is a junior political science major from Austin, Texas and will be graduating in May 2011 with a minor in anthropology. During his time at Texas A&M, he has been a member of the Honors College and the Texas A&M Prelaw Society. Jonathan plans to attend law school after graduation and pursue his goal to become a major leader in law and government. This semester he is interning with Meyers and Associates, Inc.

Alexandria
Dover Alexandria Dover is a senior majoring in English at Texas A&M University. As a student at Texas A&M, she has had the opportunity to participate in many organizations and events such as Student Government’s Legislative Relations and lobbying at the state capitol. Following graduation from Texas A&M in August 2010, Alexandria plans to attend law school to pursue legal work in the non-profit sector. Alexandria is interning with Senator John Cornyn where she will get a firsthand look at the policy-making process.

Alexander
McQuade Alex McQuade, originally from Southlake, Texas, is a junior at Texas A&M majoring in management with a minor in communication, and is seeking a certificate in international business. He recently returned from Qingdao, China where he interned with the Olympic Multilingual Call Center, teaching Olympic volunteers English. Alex also spends a significant amount of time on campus volunteering for the Student Counseling Helpline. After graduating, Alex hopes to attend graduate school to study international relations. Alex is working with the Department of Commerce.

Nikki
Napier Nikki is a junior at Texas A&M, where she is seeking a degree in political science and a minor in history. Even though she spent a large portion of her childhood in Kenai, Alaska, Nikki calls Wichita Falls, Texas home and most of her family still lives there today. As a student at Texas A&M, Nikki has had the opportunity to participate in many organizations such as the Conference on Student Government Association, College Republicans, and Sophomores Advancing in Leadership. Following graduation from Texas A&M in May 2011, she plans on returning to Washington, D.C. where she would like to work as a congressional staff member and attend law school at Georgetown University. Nikki is excited to be interning in the office of Congressman Mac Thornberry this fall.

Marcus
Pennington Marcus Pennington is from The Woodlands, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M this May with degrees in finance and economics. Marcus was involved on campus at Texas A&M through several organizations, including Fish Camp, Freshman Business Initiative, and Junior Achievement. During his senior year, he was a coordinator for the Mays Business School Fellows Program and served as the director of the Horizons Program. Marcus worked in the Private Equity Group at Lehman Brothers in 2008 analyzing venture capital investments and leveraged buyouts for a multi-billion dollar private equity fund. Previously, he has interned for the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. His policy interests include global economic development, free trade, education, and business regulation. This semester Marcus is interning with the U.S. Department of Treasury.

Matt
Pyeatt Matt Pyeatt is a senior at Texas A&M University majoring in English literature with a minor in business management. Originally from Cypress, Texas, he is interested in humanitarian justice involving international human trafficking. Matt will graduate in May 2010, whereupon he plans to attend law school after graduation. As an undergraduate, Matt has been actively involved on campus through Conference on Student Government Association, Cornerstone, Fish Camp, and Aggie Mens Club. He has had several international experiences in Europe and Latin America, and has served in a number of philanthropic and community service opportunities in the Brazos Valley. He is excited to acquire a better understanding of and be involved in the public policy process this semester. Matt is interning with International Justice Mission. |

Jessica
Rogers Jessica Rogers is from the small town of Rogers, Texas and will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in history and a minor in speech communication. Throughout her time at Texas A&M, she has been involved in Fish Camp and MSC Hospitality. She is interested in urban issues and development, foreign affairs, and education policy. This fall she is interning in the Youth Programs division of the U.S. Department of State. Following graduation, she hopes to attend graduate school and work on a degree in public service and administration. |

Charles
Sallee Charles "Henry" Sallee is a senior, double majoring in political science and English with a focus in rhetoric. A native of Allen, Texas, Henry was a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band for four years where he served as platoon officer for Alpha Company’s second platoon. He has also been a member of the O.R. Simpson Honor Society and The Ross Volunteers. Henry hopes to enter law school after graduating in May 2010. He is interning for the American Public Human Services Association this fall.

Brett
Sebastian Brett Sebastian is a senior geography major from Clear Lake, Texas. In addition to PPIP, he participates in many student organizations. He has been a member of Class Councils since his sophomore year and has worked with Maroon Out, Pullout Day, and Ring Dance. He has served as a sports writer/editor for The Battalion, Texas A&M’s campus newspaper, for three years. Additionally Brett has been a journalist since high school and has worked with the Houston Chronicle. He is also an active member of the Geoscience Student Association. Outside of school he enjoys watching sports, writing, and relaxing. One day Brett hopes to work in either the field of geography or journalism while at the same time finding a way to see the world. Brett is interning with the National Rural Water Association this fall. |

Jamie
Wheeler Jamie Wheeler, from Georgetown, Texas, is seeking a degree in chemistry major and a minor in English. She will graduate in May 2010 from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, Jamie has been an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Center, the College of Science Dean’s Student Advisory Panel, the American Chemical Society Student Chapter, and the Honors Program. She was also an Undergraduate Research Scholar for 2008-2009. After graduation, Jamie plans to attend graduate school in chemistry to research new energy technologies. While in Washington, Jamie hopes to experience the convergence of science, technology, and public policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
