PPIP Application

Your application is the the first step toward an internship semester! Not only will your application packet be the first impression to the program, but it will also be sent to various agencies and other potential employers if you are accepted into the program. With this in mind, please take your time and do your best in completing the application! Please contact the PPIP staff with any questions or concerns. Good luck!

    Austin Internships are only available every 2 years in the spring during the Texas legislative session. See below for an example of the Austin PPIP application. Spring 2009 will be the next time that Austin internships will be available-look for applications in the fall of 2008.

PPIP Eligibility

Undergraduate students of any major and discipline in good standing with the University are eligible for the PPIP program. TAMU graduate students are also welcome to apply, but are accepted on a limited basis. To be considered you must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent residents are not eligible.
  • Be a student in good standing at TAMU
  • Graduating seniors may apply to intern one semester following graduation, i.e. Dec. grad for a spring internship. May graduates may also apply for fall internships.
  • Be enrolled at Texas A&M and have at least 60 hours by the semester of your internship. A minimum of 15 hours must have been received while in residence at TAMU
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPR on a 4.0 scale. Students with 2.8-2.9 GPRs will be considered on a limited basis, but are required to submit an additional statement regarding grades and require an additional letter of recommendation.
