Cady Auckerman
serves as the director of policy internship programs at Texas A&M University. She directs both the ANRP Internship Program and the TAMU Public Policy Internship Program.

Hailing from Hereford, Texas, Cady holds a bachelor of science in agricultural leadership development with an emphasis in public policy from Texas A&M. She is currently completing a master's degree in higher education administration at TAMU.

Cady interned for the House Committee on Agriculture in Washington, DC with Chairman Larry Combest in 2000. She has been the program director since 2005 and has helped more than 400 Aggies serve our country in both Washington and Austin.

 

Britt Carter
Assistant Director & Graduate Assistant

Britt Carter is a 2005 graduate of Texas A&M University.  Born and raised in Clayton, NM, she deferred from college for a year to serve as the New Mexico FFA State President.  Upon graduating from Texas A&M she interned with the White House Office of Public Liaison through TAMU's Public Policy Internship Program (PPIP). 

Britt was offered a full time position at the White House as an executive assistant where she worked until she accepted a position planning events for current students at The Association of Former Students, Texas A&M’s alumni association.  Britt is now participating in a master’s program at The George Bush School of Government and Public Service in College Station, TX.

Clay is a senior majoring in agricultural economics, focusing on policy and economic analysis, and minoring in economics. From Perrin, Texas, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in agricultural economics. In his spare time, Clay likes to watch the the West Wing on DVD and miss Washington.

Clay interned in the spring of 2006 for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) in Washington, DC through the ANRP internship program.

Genna Meisner is a senior Agribusiness major from Knoxville, Tennessee.  She is a former intern through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy (ANRP) Internship Program where she spent the spring of 2006 working for the House Committee on Agriculture. 

Along with her major, she is pursuing a Certificate in International Trade and Agriculture and one in the study of Comparative National Politics.  Upon graduation, she hopes to attend graduate school, seeking either a Masters of Public Administration or Agricultural Economics, and continue on to work for an organization involved in international agricultural trade and policy.
