G. Kemble Bennett is Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Dwight Look College of Engineering, as well as the Director of
the Texas Engineering Experiment Station. Dr. Bennett received his B.S. from Florida State University, his M.S.
from San Jose State University and his Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. Prior to coming to Texas A&M University in
1986, Dr. Bennett served on the faculties of the University of South Florida and Virginia Polytechnic Institute
and State University. While at Texas A&M University, he has been the head of the Department of Industrial
Engineering and the head of the Division of Industrial Engineering of the Texas Engineering Experiment Station.
Dr. Bennett has authored numerous articles related to quality control, statistical modeling, and engineering
logistics. He has been recognized with several distinguished educator awards and was elected a Fellow of the
Society of Logistics Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Charles A. Johnson is the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Dr. Johnson earned his Ph.D. in 1977 from the
University of Kentucky. Dr. Johnson joined Texas A&M University in 1978 as a Political Science Assistant
Professor and was promoted to Professor in 1986. He then took a position as Associate Dean of Liberal Arts in
1987 after serving as the department head of Political Science. He has numerous
publications and books on the judicial process and currently chairs the American Political Science Association
(APSA) Education and Professional Development Committee.

Elsa A. Murano was appointed Vice Chancellor and Dean, Agriculture and Life Sciences and Director, Texas
Agricultural Experiment Station at Texas A&M University on January 3, 2005. In 2001, Dr. Murano was appointed
Undersecretary for Food Safety, U.S. Department of Agriculture, by President George W. Bush. Prior to this
appointment, Dr. Murano was appointed Professor in the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University
after having been Associate Professor in that same department since 1995. Also while at Texas A&M University,
Dr. Murano served as director of the Center for Food Safety within the Institute of Food Science and Engineering
from 1997 to 2001, and as associate director from 1995 to 1997. Dr. Murano served as professor-in-charge
of research programs at the Linear Accelerator Facility at Iowa State University from 1992 to 1995. She was
an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Preventative Medicine at Iowa State
University from 1990 to 1995. A native of Havana, Cuba, Dr. Murano received her B.S. in Biological Sciences
from Florida International University. She received her M.S. in Anaerobic Microbiology and Ph.D. in Food
Science and Technology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Jerry R. Strawser is the Dean of the Lowry Mays College and Graduate School of Business. He received his B.B.A., M.B.A.
and Ph.D. in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Before his appointment as Dean, Dr. Strawser served on the faculty
at Louisiana State University for five years, and then accepted an offer of associate dean for academic and
research programs at the University of Houston. In 1999, he accepted the position of interim dean at the
University of Houston where he was the Arthur Andersen and Co. Alumni Professor of Accountancy and Taxation.
Dr. Strawser has authored numerous academic and professional journal articles, and coauthored several books.
