Assistant Vice President for Institutional Studies
Job Description:
I am responsible for making certain that the office fulfills
it's mission to the university. That mission includes providing
timely and accurate data to the university community in order
to keep them informed and to facilitate planning and assessment
efforts throughout the university. It also includes reporting
university data to The Higher Education Coordinating Board
of Texas, and all other required reports to state and federal
governments. Additionally, our office is the repository of
all official, certified data and as such, we fulfill many
ad hoc requests, both internal and external, for data, including
many surveys.
Education:
B.S., Science, Memphis State University, 1973
M.S., Peabody College of Vanderbilt University, 1975, Natural
Sciences
PhD., University of North Texas, 1988, Educational Statistics
and Evaluation
Interests:
When not at work, I enjoy my family (including 2 married daughters
and 5 grandchildren), attending Texas A&M sporting events,
the theater, movies, and my friends.
