Pre-College Credit Programs Advanced Placements Program (AP)Texas A&M University accepts scores on certain College Board Advanced Placement tests for credit in selected courses. Up to three semesters of credit in a subject area may be awarded. Interested students should contact their high school counselors for information on registration and test sites. Students should refer to the current Undergraduate Catalog to determine which courses apply to their degree programs. Scores reported from the spring AP test administration will not be received until late July. The College Board Code for Texas A&M is 6003. Honors Credit for Advanced PlacementMany students who participate in the Honors Department bring AP credits to fulfill elements of the university’s core curriculum. Up to 12 hours of Honors credit may be applied to Foundation or University Honors graduation requirements by earning a score one point higher than the required score for AP examinations. Advanced Placement (AP) Requirements Institutional SAT and ACT Tests You will need Acrobat Reader to view the following documents. New Dates for the Institutional SAT/ACT will be avaiable September 1, 2007. Any student who is interested in attending TAMU and who has not yet taken the SAT/ACT+, or who needs to take it again for admission purposes in the Spring, is eligible to take the institutional version of the nationally administered SAT/ACT+. Scores from the institutional version will be considered equivalent to national scores by TAMU admissions. For more information on the Institutional SAT/ACT+: Phone registration for the SAT and ACT+ will begin on November 1 !! SAT II Subject Tests (ACHIEVEMENT) The SAT II Subject Tests are administered by various high schools and colleges on national test dates. To register for a national test date, students should obtain registration bulletin from their high school counselors.
