Communications Strategy

Effective communication is more important to colleges and universities than ever before. Universities such as Texas A&M must differentiate and distinguish themselves by developing well-planned, well-executed market and communications strategies in order to gain and maintain support from its various constituents. Toward that end, our experienced communications staff is ready to help develop an effective strategic communications plan for your program, department or college, one that identifies key messages, audiences and appropriate channels (media and others) to communicate messages effectively.

When a crisis occurs, our staff, with extensive media relations experience and who work with reporters frequently, can help construct a sound media strategy by anticipating reporters' questions and planning appropriate responses. Additionally, we regularly monitor issues and/or concerns impacting comparable institutions and offer sound issues management advice to reduce, to the extent possible, any negative impact on Texas A&M. We also offer, at no cost, an intensive media-training seminar to help students, faculty and administrators deal effectively with the media.
