Current Students

The University's core values—integrity, leadership, respect, selfless service, loyalty and excellence—get to the heart of what it means to be one of the 48,000-plus Texas A&M students. In 2007, Texas A&M was selected as the top-ranked institution in the nation by The Washington Monthly for its "tangible contributions to the public interest." Texas A&M students not only participate in more community service projects than their peers, they also rank above the norm in helping their fellow students succeed through informal and formal tutoring. In the course of their studies, students have the opportunity to lead one or more of the 800 student organizations on campus and visit with current-day leaders through ongoing programs and lectureships.
