The
Department of History provides doctoral candidates in diplomatic
and military history the opportunity to focus on the United
States, Europe, or Latin America. Current faculty and graduate
students study foreign policy and international relations,
military experience and thought, and war and society. They are
complemented by colleagues in the department who specialize
in Britain, Germany, the Soviet Union, and the history of
technology.
