Engel, who received her Ph.D. from the
University of Wisconsin in 2003, specializes in the religious
history of early America, particularly in the mid-Atlantic
region. Her current book project, Of Heaven and Earth:
Religion and Economic Activity Among Bethlehem's Moravians,
explores how religious actors responded to eighteenth-century
economic change. Her future work will explore religion and
community in the early American backcountry. |
