United States - 19th Century

The Department of History at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship to begin in September 2011 in the history of the United States in the nineteenth century, field of specialization open with a preference for candidates whose expertise will complement the current strengths of the department and who will contribute to our program in Comparative Border Studies.  We especially encourage candidates whose work crosses geographical, racial, ethnic, gender, and/or cultural borders and who present their research in a broad comparative framework.  A PhD or defense of the PhD by September 1, 2011, evidence of scholarly accomplishment or potential, and the ability to take an active role in both graduate and undergraduate courses are required.  To ensure full consideration all materials should arrive before November 5, 2010.

Mediterranean World
