Student Organizations and Groups:

• African-American Professional Organization: Serves as a vehicle through which African Americans are fully recognized as contributing members of Texas A&M University, its local system components, and the community at-large.
  
  
• Aggie Allies: ALLIES include staff, faculty, and students at Texas A&M University who display an Ally placard outside their office or residence hall room. This sign identifies them as individuals who are willing to provide a safe haven, a listening ear, and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people or anyone dealing with sexual orientation issues.
  
  
• Black Graduate Students Association: The Organization is committed to the identification, development, recruitment, retention, and academic/professional achievement of African American Graduate Students at Texas A&M University.
  
  
• Friends of India Network
  The Friends of India Network was established to provide a forum for faculty and staff at TAMU to foster awareness, within the academic community, of a range of issues and concerns relevant to India and Indian-Americans on the campus.

• GLBT Professional Network: The GLBT Professional Network is an officially-recognized organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered Texas A&M University faculty, staff, and graduate students, and professionals within the Bryan/College Station community.
  
  
• Graduate Student Council: The GSC, serving as the graduate student government at Texas A&M University, exists to share and discuss information important to all Texas A&M University graduate and professional students and to advocate for their interests in dealing with the University, its constituents, and all other appropriate entities.
  
  
• International Graduate Student Association: Aims to offer a more active and inclusive representation for the international graduate students – one that goes beyond creating cultural awareness; a representation which will make us a more integral part of the A&M community. IGSA strives to represent the international graduate student community, promote diversity, and provide a platform for social interaction. IGSA's core values are democracy, inclusion, collaboration, and transparency.
  
  
• Professional Hispanic Network : The Professional Hispanic Network is a network of leaders supporting Texas A&M University and the Bryan-College Station community to proactively address key issues affecting the education and quality of life of all Hispanics.
  
  
  
• Women's Center: Women’s Center at Texas A&M University is to pursue equity and enhance the campus climate for women through support, programming, and advocacy. The Center advocates for women by educating campus and community constituencies on women’s- and gender-related issues and the changing status of women, and functions as a resource and referral center for members of the A&M community.
  
  
• Women's Faculty Network:The Women's Faculty Network is committed to encouraging and promoting the professional development of women faculty through both formal programming and informal networking opportunities.
  
  
• Women's Studies Program: The Women's Studies Program at Texas A&M University is a program of the College of Liberal Arts. Women's Studies uses an interdisciplinary approach to the study of gender in culture and society and the achievements of women in the arts, literature, the sciences, and in other human endeavors. Attention is given to the historical, cross-cultural, and multicultural aspects of gender and the experience of women and men.
