Grading rubric for presentations on prescription drug project.

 

Presentations should be 12 mins in length.

 

Your presentation must mention the following points:

1. the physiology of the condition or disease

2. the medical consequences of no treatment – what are the risks?

3. the enzymes, enzyme or protein involved in the condition or disease

4. the normal biochemistry of the enzymes, enzyme or protein involved

5. the chemistry of the drug

6. the biochemistry of the drug

7. some assessment of its efficacy and cost-benefit ratio

Use the second draft as your script for your presentation and web site.

 

grading rubric:

 

(A) 20 points:  a good, coherent and well-edited and well-rehearsed presentation that mentions all 7 points.  Clear evidence that it is a group, not an individual, effort.

 

(B) 16 points:  a less-well edited and less-well-rehearsed presentation.  Mentions all the points.  Evidence that group effort is lacking.

 

(C) 12 points:  a poorly worded and poorly edited and poorly rehearsed presentation that lacks some of the information. Evidence that group effort is lacking.
