Second draft of prescription drug project

 

Draft should contain all the information for your presentation.  While written, it should be in the form of your presentation.

1. the physiology of the condition or disease

2. the medical consequences of no treatment – what are the risks?

3. the enzymes, enzyme or protein involved in the condition or disease

4. the normal biochemistry of the enzymes, enzyme or protein involved

5. the chemistry of the drug

6. the biochemistry of the drug

7. some assessment of its efficacy and cost-benefit ratio

Use the second draft as your script for your presentation and web site.

 

grading rubric:

 

The draft should be well written and edited.  This is a team effort and each team member is responsible for the final product.

 

10 points:  a good, coherent and well-edited presentation that mentions all 7 points.  Clear evidence that it is a group, not an individual, effort.

 

8 points:  a less-well edited presentation. Mentions all the points. Evidence that group effort is lacking.

 

6 points:  a poorly worded and poorly edited presentation that lacks some of the information. Evidence that group effort is lacking.
