- Aggie ALLIES
This is a Texas A&M University organization that includes faculty, staff, and students who display an Ally placard outside their offices or residence hall rooms. This sign identifies them as individuals who are willing to provide a safe haven, a listening ear, and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people or anyone dealing with sexual orientation issues.
- Allen Foundation Inc. Established in 1975 by agricultural chemist William Webster Allen, this Michigan-based foundation makes grants to projects that benefit human nutrition in the areas of education,
training, and research. Visitors to the web site will find a brief biography of Mr. Allen, a listing of the foundation's board of trustees, and online application procedures with an
eligibility quiz. Visitors can also access the
foundation's annual reports for the last twelve years.
- American Civil Liberties Union The
ACLU is one of America's guardians of liberty, working daily in courts,
legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and
liberties that the Constitution and national laws guarantee everyone
who lives in the United States of America.

- Matthew Gaines Memorial
Matthew Gaines was a former slave, community leader, minister, Republican State
Senator and courageous leader in the 12th Texas Legislature, which established free public
education in the State of
Texas and enabled the founding in 1871 of The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas. For my statement supporting the erection of a statue in his honor on the Texas A&M University campus,
