Department of Student Financial Aid
Graduate students needing financial assistance should apply by submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov and having the results sent to Texas A&M (Texas A&M's school code is 003632). The department participates in several federal and state programs including the Texas Public Education Grant, Federal/State Work-Study, Federal Perkins Loans and the Federal Stafford Loans. Students are required to be enrolled half-time to receive the full amount of the grant program. A student must be enrolled at least half-time to receive Federal/State Work-Study, the Federal Perkins Loan or a Federal Stafford Loan. Short-term loans are also available to assist students with unexpected expenses.
