Curriculum in
Agricultural Development
Agricultural Development is for students
who want to work with people involved in agriculture. The curriculum
emphasizes the development of leadership capabilities, communication
skills and broad preparation in agriculture. The curriculum in
agricultural development is multidisciplinary, designed to develop
students for leadership positions in local, state, regional and
national groups, organizations and agencies that are involved
with agriculture. These include agricultural extension services,
legislative staffs, farm organizations, marketing groups, state
and federal agencies, and farms and ranches. Other career paths
may include banking, public relations, farm and ranch management,
and international agricultural development.
The curriculum is administered in the
Department of Agricultural Education. Students, working with
their faculty advisors, plan their course work to match their
career goals.
