Aggie Access Learning Communities

Freshman General Studies majors and freshmen in the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Geosciences (Geography and B.A. in Geology majors) may apply to participate in one of the six Aggie Access Learning Communities during the freshman year.   Students in Aggie Access enroll in two core curriculum classes that are taught in small classes rather than in large lecture halls during each semester.  They also take STLC 101—Applied Learning Theory during the fall semester.   Access students benefit from co-curricular activities and social gatherings, peer mentors, optional study groups, and creation of a home-base within the larger University.   They also may choose to live in an Access residential cluster in either Schuhmacher Hall or Hobby Hall.
