Texas A&M University is the flagship institution of The Texas A&M University System, with $1 billion budget and an endowment that typically ranks in the top five nationally among public universities. The university recently concluded the successful One Spirit One Vision fundraising campaign, which raised $1.5 billion. The Vision 2020 strategic plan is the university's road map for becoming recognized as one of the nation's best public universities by 2020.

Texas A&M has completed the most ambitious faculty expansion effort in the University's history. The five-year faculty reinvestment campaign, supported by the Texas Legislature, added 447 new faculty positions.

With more than 4 million volumes, the university's five libraries offer collections of distinction, as well as digital access to resources, including about 300,000 e-books and access to hundreds of online databases in all subject areas. The university is home to the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum, which houses the former president's archives.

More than 2,300 organizations recruit Texas A&M students—for both fulltime positions and internships—through the university's Career Center, which is one of the nation's largest university employment services centers.
